Re: Alleged deliberate violation of Governor
Gray Davis Hiring Freeze by CPUC management.
Dear
Ms. Lynch:
The
Concerned Staff Committee requests that you explain why CPUC MANAGEMENT
ignored Governor Gray Davis Order directing state agencies to stop
new hires. We wish to point out to you that while these outside
hires were taking place, PROMOTIONS FOR CURRENT STAFF WERE FROZEN.
Were
or are you aware of this blatant discrimination and unfairness to
all the deserving current employees whose promotions were ate up
by the New Hires? These were not entry level appointments but promotional
levels. Do you know how the affected employees feel about the lost
promotions? They are angry and demoralized. Years of dedicated and
devoted service to this Commission apparently is not appreciated
and recognized by you and your management.
You
said many times at meetings with staff that your vision for the
Commission is to have people who are happy to come to work here
and be happy while working here. Well we need consistency: We need
an alignment among the following: Your Vision, Your Decisions (conduct)
and Our Happiness as employees. Promises deliberately not kept do
not allow us to trust you and your managers.
Sincerely
yours,
Yaya
