RE:
New Carpets
Dear
Mr. Larson:
As
a taxpayer in California as well as a State Government employee,
I would like to know why the Public Utilities Commission is having
carpets installed utilizing the following hazardous ingredients:
Vitex with Additive-Hazardous Ingredient: Crystallize Silica
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive 2300: Containers are labeled
HAZARDOUS, KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN
Since
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive 2300 is hazardous to children, is it
hazardous to adults as well? Are these hazardous ingredients cancer
causing? If these ingredients are cancer causing, this is a waste
of taxpayer funds due to the lawsuits that will occur from employee
exposure & from general public exposure (people who visit the
building to make sure there is compliance with Public Utilities
Commission regulations).
Thank
you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Yaya
Fanusie, Ph.D.
