And what “was not lawful” about the appointment of Paul?

Steve,

Some time next week you and Pres. Peevey will receive a letter from the Concerned Staff Committee. The letter will explain why Paul Clanon should not be allowed to become Deputy Executive Director of the Commission.

It may be a moot issue by then because we still believe that the appointment is not lawful.

I do not know who advised you to pick Clanon but if George Carazo or Wes made the recommendation then they do not like you because they knew the Concerned Staff Committee would cause problems for you and Peevey. Maybe Peter Arth, jr did recommend him.

I just thought about this: When the Energy Debacle came Loretta Lynch and the head of the Energy Commission signed a report that was sent to Governor Gray Davis. Did you contribute to the developing and writing of that report?

Did you work or collaborate with Paul Clanon in the writing of that report? There were many deliberate misrepresentations in that report. Blamed the Republican Administration of Governor Pete Wilson and Commissioner Jesse Knight for the Deregulation of Energy. I guess by now you get my drift. Professional competence and personal integrity are values not demonstrated by many managers in this Commission.
