For
those who do not know Brenda Timmons, Brenda Timmons was a former
DLC President of 745 and still an effective job steward. I share
what I do with other stewards because It shows them that there several
ways to represent members and make the worksite a congenial place
to work. It also shows to others that “The State Rights”
proviso of the MOU is not above the laws, the Constitution of the
state of California or The United States Constitution.
I need to confirm that Brenda Timmons is not now nor in the past
a member of the Concerned Staff Committee. Let me state also that
had she been a member you all would have known that fact because
she would not have made it a secret.

I
too, am not a member. I thought Yaya was simply sharing information
with some stewards. I usually read and delete as it has no direct
impact or importance to me. I wonder however, if at times, one fears
the usual retaliation that usually goes along with speaking up and/or
supporting others in their causes (no promotions etc). It is either
ironic or coincidental that most stewards fear they will not get
promoted until they refrain from being a steward. It is difficult
being a steward and it seems as though we (CSEA) have lost the report
we previously had with management. I truly hope that some day the
union and management will not be perceived as enemies and can work
together towards the good for all.

Bruce,
You are correct too. You and David have not nor now members of What
Now?! or the Concerned Staff Committee.
Both What Now?! and The Concerned Staff Committee were established
in 1992 in CPUC to monitor and expose managerial abuse, incompetence
and poor leadership in the Commission. It is no longer restricted
to CPUC. It is now statewide. Visit the Website: www.americawhatnow
.com.
We have not updated it because we have been busy working on about
100 projects-investigations-on managerial abuse, gross inefficiencies,
and other bad management activities.
All are being done under the project name Domains of Accountability
and Responsibility. The results of our investigations/expose' are
submitted to the Governor and it is up to him to do something about
whatever we notify him about. He is well aware of the Political
implications for if he does not resolve the problems brought to
his attention.
We want the Governor to focus also on the managers of state bureaucracies
as part of his reform of State Government. Structural Change must
be tied replacing incompetent, dishonest and ill-trained and ill-equipped
managers. Also all dishonest managers should go.
Bruce and David,
We do our best to keep the identity of the members secret and also
we are respected by all the managers we go after because we do not
do anything behind their backs.
We are whistleblowers above ground. Actually the best metaphor for
our activities is to see us as Referees. We throw the flag. And
we tell you what rule you violate. It is that simple. If we are
mistaken; it is our expectation that we will be informed.
Let me make it clear here that Director Dana Appling is not in violation
of any government code. I have stop here and return to my GLOBAL
ISSUES. And maybe later tonight I will compose the formal letter
and dispatch it to Director Dana Appling.
And let me state this to you Bruce and also to David; if you are
uncomfortable being cc from What Now?! and the Concerned Staff Committee,
then I suggest you resign your positions f
f rom CSEA DLC 745.

David,
You are correct. Selected stewards are informed because many of
the of issues raise fall under the Dignity Clause (5.11), and Article
4.(c) of the Union Contract.

It
has come to my attention that Mr. Fanusie's cc'ing me on Concerned
Staff Committee e-mails has created the impression that I am a member
of that group. I am not now nor have I ever been affiliated with
CSC, and I am not even privy to its membership roster. I believe
Mr. Fanusie cc's me because I am the Chief Steward and Vice President
of his Union.
Without necessarily taking any position regarding the Concerned
Staff Committee, I feel it is only fair and necessary to clarify
any erroneous perceptions regarding my putative involvement with
or support of its efforts.
Thank you.

Hi Director Appling,
I am running late so I could not write the formal letter for the
Concerned Staff Committee about their concerns or allegations that
the two deputy directors in ORA are inappropriate appointments.
you may want to look into the allegations for now before you get
the formal letter from us.
