Subject: Total Dollar amount incurred by CPUC on the William Ahern and Age Discrimmination Case

Hi President Peevey:

I need the following information: The total cost to CPUC for age discrimination and retaliation case for which William Ahern was found guilty. I need the lump sum not a breakdown. Please note, besides the Crommie Mangold awards, I think that there were 11 others who had out of court settlements with the Commission. I need this information for a letter I am preparing to submit to CSEA concerning the views and feelings expressed by some staff who are Union Members. Many are annoyed and demoralized by your decision to appoint William Ahern as Executive Director of the Commission.

Let me state this: Each mail I send to you must be given serious Attention because it may appear insignificant now but in a few years, you and the other Commissioners might be running for State Wide Political Office or come up for Federal Appointments and these annoying emails may become very significant.
